01) HOW ALL STARTED?

Hello friends from Hell's Friends Zine! First, thanks for the space and support. In fact, it all started in the late 1990s, when we were in our first band together. Our partnership lasted until 2008 and in 2022, many years later, the brotherhood, the unity as a group spoke louder and we returned to composing and recording together. Fallen Shadows is very special to this trio of old friends.


02) WHAT´S YOUR INFLUENCES?

They are very similar, by the way. We have a shared taste in music and grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Grave Digger, Dio, Helloween and we like bands from a more recent generation as well, like Sabaton, Soen, Evergrey and many others. It is many amazing bands, isn't it?


03) HOW´S THE ACTUAL LINE UP?

Since the release of our first single, A Day of Treason, we have kept the same line-up: Rodrigo Cafundó on vocals, Carlos Pranches on guitars and Eduardo Meira on bass.


04) DID YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?

Not with Fallen Shadows yet! But we are musicians from the Brazilian underground scene with hundreds of concerts under our belt. Those were years of many concerts with the bands Mystical End and Angels Holocaust. Now, about the Fallen Shadows concerts, they will happen as soon as our entire repertoire is released. We will present the show we always planned and dreamed of.


05) WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

As we are not yet on the road and opted for the digital release of our singles, the band has not yet completed the official merchandising production process. However, we will have news very soon. Follow all the news through our Instagram: @fallenshadows_official.   

 

06) COMMENT ABOUT EPS: ¨A DAY OF TREASON ¨AND ¨FIGHTING FOR SURVIVAL ¨?

The response to the singles has been overwhelmingly positive in Brazil and abroad. We are very happy with the reviews and notes about our work. A Day of Treason marks our debut and the reunion of three friends who love what they do. We also point out the musical direction of our band. In Fighting for Survival, we come out even more aggressive and epic. It’s the natural transition of our style statement. Particularly, we really like the result of our singles.


07) TELL US MORE ABOUT 3° SINGLE ¨RISE AGAINST THE DARK ¨?

Rise Against the Dark is our epic so far. Musically there is a lot of depth going on. Lots of weight, melodies and a chorus with many layers and intense emotional levels. Lyrically we have approached the theme of war, but without pointing to a specific period. It is a work of which we are very proud and the response to its release makes us immensely happy.


08) YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS OF ¨FALLEN SHADOWS¨?

Yes! Absolutely. After all, the great motivation for our reunion was the friendship and unity we always had. It is a lot of connection, things of life, really. Primarily, we create our music to please ourselves and realizing that people are enjoying our singles is also an aspect that motivates us a lot. We are happy and very satisfied with the results of the band so far.


09) FUTURE PLANS...

Compose, record and release many more singles! By the way, we are working on the successor to Rise Against the Dark. Our fourth single is even heavier and darker. It's a very heavy direction and we're very excited to share it with you all. We live one stage at a time and now the focus is 100% on recording our next single. Soon, very soon, we will have news about the band's fourth release.
