01. PRIMEIRAMENTE. PODERIA NOS DIZER COMO SURGIU A IDEIA DE

MONTAR A BANDA FROM AUTUMN?

Aquele som do

My Dying Bride, Katatonia, Moonspell...

04. QUEM COMPÕES AS LETRAS E DE ONDE VEM A INSPIRAÇÃO PARA

ESCREVE-LAS?

Daniel : As letras escritas por mim.

05. COMO VOCÊS DEFINEM O SOM DE FROM AUTUMN?

Daniel : Basicamente Doom/Death old school, mas assimilamos influencias de outras
correntes do metal.

07. COMENTE SOBRE O SINGLE: NIGHT TIME?

O single ajudou bastante a divulgar a From

Autumn.

08. COMO ESTÁ SENDO FEITO OS PREPARATIVOS PARA O LANÇAMENTO DO

CD?

Ai

depois é partir para shows e divulgação.

11. QUAL SUA VISÃO DA CENA UNDERGROUND NO BRASIL?

Rafael:  Quase a questão anterior. A cena brasileira impressiona pela sua diversidade

e qualidade.

13. OBRIGADO PELA ATENÇÃO E APOIO. ALGUM COMENTÁRIO FINAL?

Rafael: Obrigado pela oportunidade  e apoiem o Metal nacional.

Daniel: Obrigado a você pelo espaço cedido e convidamos o leitor a conhecer nosso

som  em: https://www.facebook.com/FromAutumn.DoomMetal?ref=ts&fref=ts

Downfall of Nur is an atmospheric black metal/folk musical project formed as a solo project by myself in 2013
The project concept of Downfall of Nur is based on the Nuragic civilization and the folklore of Sardinia, Italy, place where i am born and lived my childhood. Downfall of Nur start with the idea of translating this into music, make music, talking about my ancestors, my land and my roots.

02. WHAT´S YOUR INFLUENCES?

Maybe the most influential bands are Ulver, Burzum, Arckanum,  Agalloch and Darkthrone , all these somehow influenced me and the sound of Downfall of Nur, but anyway the inspiration comes from everywhere, from nature specialy.

03. WHY THE NAME DOWNFALL OF NUR?

Nur is the root of the name Nuraghe, which are the main type of ancient megalithic edifice found in Sardinia developed by the Nuragic civilization, today it has to be the symbol of Sardinia.
The meaning behind "Downfall of Nur" name basically is the fall of the Nuragic civilization, anyway this name meaning goes beyond this, it is a personal perspective, which not only reflects the previously named theme, but also a social reality.

04. WHAT´S THE BLACK METAL ATMOSFERIC FOR YOU?

Atmospheric black metal for me, moving away from the agressive sound of the traditional black metal, is focused on heavy incorporation of atmospheric, sometimes even dreamy textures.

05. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

Nothing now, we have sold out everything, some cds still available in some distributors and by the records label that release it.

06. HOW´S ARGENTINE METAL INDERGROUND SCENE?

I'm not really very close to the Underground movement, i live away from Buenos Aires and that's where this whole essence of it, anyway I see that with each passing year are born exciting new projects.

07. WHAT IS THE IDEOLOGY OF DOWNFALL OF NUR?

Downfall of Nur has no ideology, is a concept, a personal perspective in some way.
as I said before it was born as a need to express what sentistalking about my ancestors, my land and my roots.

08. ARE YOU WORKING ON ANY NEW MATERIAL? CAN WE EXPECT A NEW RELEASE FROM YOU IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

This March/April will be released the first full-length "Umbras de Barbagia" by Avantgarde Music.

10. WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

Who knows, for now i try to life day by day, one day death will come, and hope I have lived long enough without waste my time when that day arrives.

11. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE DOWNFALL OF NUR?

for now I'm taking some time to rest and start writing for the new album at the moment this is the only thing.

12. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY LAST COMMENTS?

Thanks you for your time and support!

01. HOW ALL STARTED?

1. It all started when two classmates, childhood friends Davit Grigoryan (lead guitar) and Vahan Poghosyan started to listen to rock music when they were in the 8th grade.
Sooner when they were inspired by the sounds of electric guitar, they decided to learn to play guitar. After learning a few basic chords they found out that they are too lazy to learn and cover their favorite songs, and it's high time to write their own. It was easier and more interesting. Vahan suggested to gather a band and name it Senexes.
It was already 2002 and hell knows what it means.
Senexes band had several gigs in their home town Vanadzor till 2005.
In 2005 Davit Galstyan (bass) and Vardan Paremuzyan (ex-drummer of VK) joined the band.
Vahan Poghosyan suggested to change the name of the band because he wanted the band name to sound Armenian and have meaning and philosophy.
Vahan suggested VORDAN KARMIR.

(Vordan Karmir is a name of red paint in Armenian. In the past it was very popular cochineal in the world. That color was used in paintings, king's clothing, medicine, carpets and in many other things. It was made of special endemic insect in Ararat valley, Armenia.
Now the secret of making that paint is lost. And VK members decided to refine the lost value in their music.)

So everything started when all 4 members said Yes to the new band name.
In 2010 Payqar Chakhoyan joined the band as a drummer.
During 10 years of existence VK had many concerts in Armenia, played gigs in Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, London, Germany and Spain, appeared in several local and international music festivals. Released one full-length album (A4) and two EPs.

02. HOW DO YOU DEFINE VORDAN KARMIR MUSIC?

We know that we are playing rock music, with elements of folk and metal. We think that it is not our business to define our music, it is up to critics.

03. WHAT´S YOUR INFLUENCES?

SOAD, Korn, RATM, Tool, Limp Bizkit, Led Zeppelin, Deftones, Metallica, Armenian folk, etc.

04. HOW´S THE ACTUAL LINE-UP?

Payqar Chakhoyan: Drums
Vahan Poghosyan: Vocals
Davit Grigoryan: Guitar
Davit Galstyan: Bass

05. DID YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?

Not as much as we'd like to.

06. WHAT ARE YOUR INSPIRATIONS FOR THE YOUR LYRICS?

 Mankind, Life, Society, Universe, God.

07. HOW MANY ALBUMS/CD´S HAVE YOU RELEASED?

A4 Album (full-length) 2013
Not An Album (EP) 2011
Vordan Karmir (EP) 2010

08. DO YOU HAVE ANY SIDE PROJECTS?

Vahan Poghosyan and Payqar Chakhoyan have a side project called Machine Aubergine.
Davit Galstyan has a side project named AVYUN

09. HOW´S ARMENIA UNDERGROUND SCENE?

Too small.

10. YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS OF VORDAN KARMIR?

Not yet.

11. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE VORDAN KARMIR?

 We hope only success!

12. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY LAST COMMENTS?

Would like to play in Brazil.

Many thanks Agathus!

01. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF CONFRONT STAGE?

It all beginning after the last concert of my first old punk project that called "The Ahineya". It was still in Ukraine, in Kamienec-Podolsky city, where I lived at that time as well.
The roots of Confront Stage go from there with this project. Only by changing tactics, sound and approach. Us was three people. We were all members of " The Ahineya". The composition was as follows:
I'm in vocals and guitar, Irina "RedRum" Khorosheva - bass, vocals; Leva Kovalenko - drums. Following in the group came guitarist - Alexander "Grobshter". So I decided to create a new heavier punk project differs from the previous one and call it " Confront Stage ".
Such a composition and name was the first rehearsal. It was in January, 15, in 2013. This is the official date of since Confront Stage.
Until the end of 2013, we played this lineup.
Then life was such that, I'm with Irina moved at Donbass, in Lugansk. Then in Confront Stage came ex-drumer of " The Ahineya" - Konstantin Golub. And before the civil war, we played this lineup, and recorded the album at "QS Production studio".

02. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?

Direction CS which includes a variety. We can play street punk, metal or hardcore.

03. HOW HAS THE FANS RESPONSE BEEN?

I think that the audience accepted us and  who have not heard about the group, be sure to hear it.
I know, that among Brazilian punk movement know about us.

04. WHERE DID THE BAND NAME COME FROM?

Name for the band came spontaneously. I chose from the English vocabulary word, that means the spirit of protest and meaning of what we do and want to convey to society.

05. INTRODUCE THE BAND MEMBERS AND WHAT THEY DO IN THE BAND?

Musicians in the band changed. Some names I listed above.
Album we wrote in this format:
Artemy Volinsky - vocals, guitar;
Iren " RedRum" - bass, vocals;
Konstantin Golub -  drums.
At this moment in Confront Stage of four musicians:
Artemy Volinsky - vocals, guitar;
Fedor Fedin - guitar, vocals;
Michael Batsunov - bass;
Igor Gorsky - drums;

06. WHO WRITES THE MUSIC? LYRICS? AND WHERE DO THE LYRIC IDEAS COME FROM?

Many songs and music write by myself. Sometimes, it happens, my friends also throw up the lirycs and I considered them.
Basically I'm songwritter.

07. HOW MANY ALBUMS/CD´S HAVE YOU RELEASED?

At the moment we have so far recorded one EP album and 3 compilations, that was released with our participation. Two of them in Brasil and one in USA.
They are:
"Chaoz Day 3"  by Casa Punk Records on CD, 2013;
"Whatever Radio Compilation" (USA, 2014);
"Freedom Punkers vol.20" (Brasil, 2014);

08. TELL ME ABOUT SOME THE SONGS ON THE LASTEST CD?

The album "Slave work" includes 5 tracks. It was originally planned to write more, but due to the great political changes in the country, had to write as much.
The first track on the album is "Intro". The second track we did a cover version of the song, known to all, band - Luta Armada.
Next songs from my first project " The Ahineya", in a weighted format.

09. DO YOU HAVE ANY SIDE PROJECTS?

Yes, they are!
I also occasionally play acoustic concerts and poetry reading.
Our bass guitarist - Michael, there is its grunge punk band, called "Heart of the Dog". He's a leader, vocalist and guitarist in his band.
It was the case, I played along to rehearsals them on drums and bass guitar.

10. DID YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?

At this moment Confront Stage did not give concerts, but we're already planning in this year, in Russia.

11. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

So far we've no merchandiser, but I think that is still in the future...

12. TELL US ABOUT THE SCENE IN UKRANIE?

As for the Ukrainian punk and hardcore scene movement as a whole, now that it is difficult to tell  me about it.
Yes, there are punk bands play and give their concerts.
Among them, there are quite worthy and interesting bands. Due to the difficult situation in the country and that goes a civil war, all actions and protests punk bands directed against the war, and the fascist, Nazi regime.
Now, when I'm in another neighboring country and its difficult to fully describe the situation in the punk movement in Ukraine.
I'll watch for these little...

13. ARE IS POLITICAL SITUATION IN UKRANIE?

What about the situation in Ukraine, I think that this is absurd and idiotic. Moreover what is happening at the moment is terrible.
Some oligarchs change of power in the other oligarchs, more cynical and bloodthirsty in the face of Poroshenko, Turchinov and Yatsenyuk.
Of course, not without the help of the United States. They are driven by what happened on the Maidan in Kiev, in the winter 2014.
It is the arrival of nazi, fascist goverment.
Of course, our south- east of the country began to emerge and fight against fascism, the atrocities.
Donbass has always been a working region with own full of nature resources and the working people. From where, in fact, I come from.
I think that this war for resources and territory.
This is genocide, total genocide actually.
Repression, forced mobilization of the male population.... Is a terrible.
They kill civilians, children, women and old people. Many cities demolished by bombing and even banned phosphorous shells.
No one wants this fucking war. It is a dirty game of politicians for the money, their power and they people just suffer. Even the media lie, a lie stuffing ordinary people.
About this can be a long talk and all at once so I'll not tell. It is very difficult and painful.

14. ARE YOU WORKING ON ANY NEW MATERIAL? CAN WE EXPECT A NEW RELEASE FROM YOU IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

Yes, Agathus, we're actively rehearsing and start playing new material for next album.
I think that many  people will appreciate it.
Many songs will be devoted to the problems in Ukraine as a whole and on the situation in the world.
We want that everyone to be able to reflect on some things.
It is our mission.

15. TELL US ABOUT SOME OF THE BEST TOURS LIVE PERFORMANCES YOU HAVE HAD?  DO YOU HAVE ANY AMUSING STORIES FROM WHEN YOU RECORDED YOUR ALBUM OR WHEN YOU WHERE ON THE ROAD?

As for the funny stories from the life of Confront Stage, then.....
They probably are.
We must remember))) Lol
But they were!

16. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ARTEMY VOLINSKY. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY LAST COMMENTS?

In a last...
I was very pleased to answer your questions for your zine. Very glad to cooperate.
And we're Confront Stage, very pleased that in Brasil there are listeners.  We wish to all: love, joy, peace and most importantly the world.
Stay such with what you are!
We're one big family!
Do not lose courage in the fight against evil.
And for your zine I wish great success, more readers!
Best wishes from Confront Stage!

HELL´S FRIENDS ZINE: INTERVIEW

(Guillaume (vocalist) for Worselder).

  1. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF WORSELDER?

The band was born in 2007. James (Guitars) and myself (Guillaume, vocals) were playing together in a band called ArcLite; Mitch (drums), Yoric (Guitars) and Yannick (Bass) were in the band Gunslinger. At the time, both bands were actively looking for musicians to complete their line-up, so we finally decided to merge the bands and created Worselder.
We put our entire forces in composing original songs, and played our first gig in 2008, opening for Firewind in Toulouse (France).

02. WHAT ARE YOUR INFLUENCES?

It is difficult to give the whole list or Worselder’s influences. I’d say that we could be influenced by any kind of artist, and any kind of music. Among metal bands, I would mention for example Coroner, Pantera, Devil Driver, Gojira or Testament as being our main references, but you can hear many other influences in our music.

03. HOW  DO YOU DEFINE WORSELDER’S MUSIC?

Worselder’s songs are a melting pot of many metal types. The music is mainly composed of massive riffs, close to stoner type, with predominant thrash hints. The vocals are in the straight line of heavy metal. When we write music, we always keep in mind to make something built for live experience. We don’t give much importance to the technicality or the complexity of the structures. We just play what seems to us to be musically efficient! The result is crushing “in your face” metal, that is appreciated by the public and a real pleasure for us to play on stage.

04. WHAT IS THE ACTUAL LINE UP?

As most of actual metal bands in our style, Worselder is composed of a rhythmic section based on two guitars (James and Yoric, the other members of the band being Mitch (drums), Yannick (bass) and myself (Guillaume, vocals). The line-up is stable since the birth of the band, and no one of us could imagine playing in Worselder with other musicians. First of all, we are a band of really close friends, almost brothers… I can say that worselder is more than a band, it’s a family. We also share a deep love for beer and red wine !

05. COMMENT ABOUT YOUR LYRICS?

I a way, our lyrics are not very original. They are inspired by various considerations about the actual way of the world. As many lyricists, when I have to write a text, I want to express about the feelings I have at the moment. This leads me to write lyrics that are engaged, socially and politically. If I take the example of the three songs that you can listen in our last EP (MMXIV – available for free on our website), “The sickening” is about people that have a blinkered view of the world, just changing TV channel to avoid seeing the real life, “Home of the grave” is a squib against the great democracies, that are also the graveyard of human ideals, and “The Haven” deals with the felling of identity loss in the modern society.

06. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE

AVAILABLE?

The only available new material at the time is the MMXIV-EP disc. You can ask us for the CD via our website but you can also download if for free : www.worselder.com orbandcamp.com/worselder.
You can also download our first album (“Where we come from” – 2010).

07. TELL US NOW ABOUT YOUR FAVE BANDS AND ALBUMS?

I already listed previously some of the bands that influence us, but the whole list would be very long ! Concerning our favorite albums, I would just say that we are still very impressed by the albums that are ahead of their time, that initiate a new style or open new musical horizons. The best example for us is the album “Grin” by Coroner.

08.DO YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?

Since the beginning of the band, we had the chance to play many live shows, and also to open for great bands, as Dagoba, Firewind, Huntress, Black Bomb A and many others. With the release of the “MMXIV” EP, we plan to book numerous concert dates in 2015, with a strong will to make tours outside of France, maybe Spain or England.

09. WHAT ARE YOU FUTURE PLANS?

We will begin recording a new album in 2015, probably by the end of the year. So we have to do intensive rehearsals and composing sessions until that. As I said, we also plan to tour for the promotion of “MMXIV”.

10. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY

LAST COMMENTS?

Thank you so much for this interview. I just want to remind your followers that all Worselder’s audio material is available on our website (www.worselder.com) and our bandcamp page (banscamp.com/worselder) : you can download for free our first album (“Where we come from” – 2010) and our “MMXIV” EP. To all listeners, please, don’t forget to go on our facebook page to leave your comments. It is very important for us to know your feelings, so that we can go on improving our music ! Stay Metal !
