03. VOCÊS TIVERAM EXPERIÊNCIAS EM TOCAR EM OUTRAS BANDAS? QUAIS?
Sim, porém não vale à pena citar nomes aqui.

04. COMO ESTÁ A ATUAL FORMAÇÃO?
Atualmente contamos com:
Jener Milani.:. Guitarra Base e Voz
Wagner de Moraes.:. Guitarra Solo
Mateus Perotti.:. Bateria

05. QUEM ESCREVE AS LETRAS?
Lord Of War – Guerra
From The Shadows Of Depths – Apocalipse e inferno espiritual
Demons On The Run – Inferno espiritual
Evil Shadows – Inferno espiritual

07. QUAIS SUAS BANDAS PREFERIDAS?
Poderíamos citar várias, mas dentre elas...
Jener Milani – Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Death, Cannibal Corpse
Wagner de Moraes – Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Motörhead
Mateus Perotti  –  Nile, Krisiun, Morbd Angel, Motörhead ,Deicide...

01. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF MALIGNANT GERM INFESTATION?
The beginning of MGI started in 2005 and was pretty much me and a friend making stupid songs about things we didn't like in life. However I then decided to take on the project solo and started creating the sickest music possible, covering many themes that would offend and make the average person feel a little queasy in the stomach. We have had a number of releases over the years including some split cd's with some great bands and we do perform live from time to time as well. Over the years I have had various musicians help me perform the music live, however now it's a pretty solid 3 piece band.

02. HOW YOU DEFINE YOUR MUSIC?
Our music is so hard to define.... But generally you could say "Cyber Porno Gore Grind" as we do extreme metal, using a drum machine, plenty of synth and samples. We are also a band which nobody should take 100% seriously, as we don't take ourselves too seriously. I say that as we are a kind of comedy act at the same time as performing extreme metal, as we use some happy sounding riffs, comedy samples, have some humorous song titles/lyrics, generally bizarre moments in our music and an elaborate but again humorous stage show.

03. DID YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?
We don't play that often to be honest, currently we do a gig every 3/4 months, but if we could we would play a lot more often as we enjoy playing this music a lot and would like to get out and show the world what MGI is all about and hopefully get a few more people into it! So far the general audience response is pretty good from our gigs as we put on an insane show to go along with our music and we do something a bit different every show. The outfits always change (Except our vocalist "The Wolfman" who is seen in a khaki jump suit etc...) some of the on-stage antics may be done in various shows, but there is always something new to be witnessed.

04. HOW IS THE ACTUAL LINE UP?
The band started off with me alone, (Rob Jeremy) however over the years the live line-up has changed a lot but currently the line up is pretty solid, "The Wolfman" is the main second member covering the majority of the lyric writing and vocal duties live for some years and on the recordings since the album "Into The Asylum Of The Sexually Deranged". I do most of the song writing and recording myself and we also have a live bass player who is known as "Johndom" who has also contributed a couple of riffs to some songs which have yet to be recorded.

05. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?
We have a couple of CD's left in stock in limited quantities, these are the double album "Into The Asylum Of The Sexually Deranged" which is an interesting release as the first disc is the metal side of the band with our generally quirkiness mixed in though the second disc is completely full of synth tracks and piss take rap-songs. This album was the first release after a 3/4 year hiatus so there was a lot of material in the works during that time so it made sense to release a double disc album mixing our metal and synth tracks together in one release.

We also have available our latest release, again in limited numbers, "Angry Toilet" this is a split CD with a band who we're personally friendly with called "Sperm Injection" which is a one man act from Marcus PhD, Sperm Injections music is very hard to define but it's a sort of electronic grind, again with a similar humour as MGI so the split works really well with both bands together.= on one disc. + This album also boasts the beautiful artwork of Lou Rusconi, who has done art for us before and never disappoints, he's a sick artist and blew us away with this cover, it represents the songs perfectly!

We also have a T Shirt available in our store which is again very limited. This is the "Slashed Up, Splattered Guts and Eternally Fucked" design.

I guess there is also the majority of our back catalogue on bandcamp which can also be purchased/donated to as well.

06. TELL US ABOUT THE SCENE IN UK?
The metal scene in the UK is pretty strong. There are a lot of great bands from the UK who are playing shows and doing their thing and hopefully on a small scale these bands (like ourselves) will continue to play shows and keep the scene alive. On a higher scale we tend to get a lot of high profile acts coming through the country on tours, especially in London as well as having a few metal festivals each year, so we always have some great bands playing somewhere. The support from British metal fans is also pretty good, people travel all over the country to go and see the bands they love and often support the bands by buying the CDs and T Shirts as well as being a pretty mad crowd which always makes a gig that bit better.

07. WHAT ARE YOUR INSPIRATIONS FOR THE YOUR MUSICS?
As a band we have a lot of different inspiration as far as our stuff goes as we aren't only inspired by other music, but other forms of media and art as well. As far as music inspiration goes of course the main inspiration is other metal acts, i'm not going to go into listing them as there are too many to name! But we also listen to lots of different types of music which ranges from hiphop/grime to industrial or classical. The inspiration from other types of music I think does help us find a bit of a different/more unique sound to most extreme metal bands and can be heard quite frequently in our music.

08. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY LAST COMMENTS?
Thanks to you for giving us this interview and helping support underground metal in general! Of course we send our thanks to anyone who helps to support our band, so thanks to everyone out there who is buying the music/merch, spreading word about us or putting us on at shows! THANKS TO YOU PEOPLE! KEEP IT SICK!!!

1. HOW DID IT ALL START?

Steve was trying to start an original metal band, and he met Dave and Morgan using the online forum/marketplace Craigslist in 2010. Ian joined in 2011, because he heard that they were looking for another guitarist. We went through a bunch of different vocalists early on — we had one guy for a while, Johnny, and we recorded a demo with him, but he had too many personality differences and it didn’t work out. Zach joined as the vocalist in July 2012, and we’ve been kicking ass ever since.

2. WHY THE NAME STORMBAT?

When we first started out, we called ourself “Metal Banned,” which was sort of a joke name because of how it sounds. The name was also commentary about how metal is unseen or ignored in popular culture, and is even actually banned in some countries, but we got sick of explaining it to people, and decided we needed something more professional. Picking a name is really hard. It’s like trying to get an email address these days; all the good ones are already taken. We wanted something unique, something that hadn’t already been used, but that still sounded good. Steve brought in a huge list of suggestions, and we ended up with StormBat. The imagery was really cool to us, really identifiable. Morgan designed our bat logo when she heard the name, and there you have it.

3. COMMENT ABOUT YOUR LYRICS AND INFLUENCES.

We all come from really diverse backgrounds in terms of the kinds of music we like and listen to. Dave is all about classic hard rock heavy metal. Morgan plays jazz bass, and loves all kinds of metal. Steve writes most of the riffs, and his biggest influences are bands like Sepultura, Arch Enemy, Obituary, Iron Maiden, Sabbath, Slipknot, Pantera, and Death Angel, but he also loves black metal. Ian brings a more progressive rock feeling when he contributes riffs — a lot of them are in weird time signatures and complicated patterns. He usually adds a bunch of melodic harmonies because he’s a classically trained musician and he can’t help himself.
Our lyrics are dark. They have a lot to do with death and destruction, interlaced with raw anger and pure hatred. Zach writes almost all of the lyrics, probably 95%, but we can usually all identify with them in some way. We all work in various kinds of service jobs, and we have to deal with a lot of really rude people, stupid people, angry people, self-important people, stuff like that. Stormbat is a kind of psychological outlet for the things that we would never do or say in real life, and a lot of people can identify with that sort of pent-up rage and frustration. We also have some fantasy-inspired stuff, like “Dragon Var” and “Battle of Helm’s Deep,” because sometimes you’ve gotta pay tribute to the stuff that you like.

4. WHAT’S THE BEST DESCRIPTION FOR YOUR MUSIC?

Heavy Thrash. We somewhat jokingly call ourselves “blackened thrash / progressive doom-groove,” because we have so many influences, and you can hear them all in various songs. When you hear a song like “Wicked Waltz” (coming on our next album), you can totally hear the groove, but if we were just a groove metal band, you’d never hear stuff like the black metal influence in “Det Er Noc Der” from our self-titled debut album. Another one slated for the next album is “S.O.A.F.B.G.D.I.” which is super progressive, but then there’s stuff like “Doomsday” from our first album that’s much more similar to Iron Maiden and other old-school NWBHM. It’s like we’re schizophrenic. We just play metal. There are no rules.

5. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU HAVE AVAILABLE?

We have Men’s and Women’s t-shirts with our logo, stickers with our bat and our logo text, and CDs at all of our live shows and at our website www.stormbatband.com — you can also get copies of our first album on iTunes and Amazon Music, or listen to it on streaming services like Spotify.

6. WHAT DOES THRASH METAL MAKE YOU FEEL?

It’s actually really relaxing! Getting out all that aggression is really peaceful, but playing it is really energetic and powerful. Playing music is all about enjoying ourselves. If we didn’t enjoy it, we wouldn’t do it.

7. TELL US A BIT ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM?

It’s going to be a little more complicated than our first album. There’s some folk metal influence too, but no change in our instrumentation. We have a lot of material to work with. There’s a whiteboard in our studio with about 30 unrecorded songs on it, so we really get to pick and choose what we think are the best things to represent us as a band. This will also be our first album recorded on 7-string guitars. Our first album used downtuned 6-string guitars, but we’ve been playing live and writing with 7-strings for a while now. Ian did all of the recording, editing, mixing and mastering for our first album because he’s a professional sound engineer, and we’re sticking with the same thing for the second album. It kicks ass to be able to do all of the studio work ourselves. We went for a classic thrash sound on the first album, we think it sounds really good, but the style is dated, so we’re going to focus on getting a really brutal modern mix for the second one. We want to punch people in the face with the production quality.

8. WHERE WILL YOU SEND ETERNITY?

Don’t understand the question. We all die. That’s that.

9. WHAT IS YOUR LINEUP?

Zach Cox - Vocals (also social media and booking)
Ian Rusconi - Lead Guitar (also recording/engineering and all the business)
Stephen Huth - Rhythm Guitar (writes 99% of the songs)
David Garcia - Drums (also provides the practice studio and transportation)
Morgan Rusconi - Bass (and snacks)

10. TELL US ABOUT THE SCENE IN USA?

It’s really different in different places. Our hometown doesn’t have much of a metal scene at all, but we play a lot of shows in the greater San Francisco bay area, which has a decent metal scene because it’s the birthplace of thrash. There are a ton a bands around here, and a lot of the people who come to shows are people who play in other bands. We all try to go to each other’s shows to support each other, because the scene is really whatever you make of it. We’re trying to create a better scene. A lot of people here put their money where their mouth is and try to support local music and go to live shows because we want the metal world to thrive.

11. DO YOU PLAY MANY GIGS?

We try to average about 1 show per month. Sometimes we do more in a month, sometimes less. There are a lot of bands around here, but not a lot of good places to play. And if you play in the same place too many times in a row, people get bored with you and you may as well have just stayed in the practice studio. But if you only play a show every once in a while, people get excited. We like to have something new every time we do a show. It keeps everything interesting. We’ve probably played about 25 shows as StormBat since October of 2012.

12. HOW ARE YOUR NEWS WORDS?

We’ve had some good reviews, but nothing really breakout. There isn’t a lot of coverage or reporting around here for metal, the popular stuff is ska and reggae and pop. Stuff gets around almost entirely by word-of-mouth. People like us though, and they always want to know when we’re going to play again.

13. WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS?

Record, play, repeat. We’ll start recording our second album soon. We hope to have it out by the end of this year, maybe early next year if we decide to change some stuff. More shows, hopefully some new merchandise like hoodies, mini-banners or some different shirt designs. Maybe a regional tour, who knows.

14. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY LAST COMMENTS?

Thanks to Marcos for the interview and the opportunity! The metal community is a global community, and this really proves it. Give us a Like on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/StormBatBand and check out our videos on YouTube. Support underground music!

01. COMO INICIOU-SE O MORBID PERVERSION?

R= Salve!!

04. QUAIS SUAS BANDAS FAVORITAS DE BLACKDEATH METAL?

R= Nesse momento olhando pra estante posso citar: Sarcófago, Vulcano, Mystifier, Blasphemy, Bestial Warlust, Black Whitchery, Beherit, Profanatica, Nunslaughter, VON, Morbosidad, Blasphemophager, Anal Vomit, Embalmed (México), Impious Baptism, Sadomator, Grave Desecrator, entre outras fodidas bandas que merecem todo respeito!

05. QUAL A IDEOLOGIA DO MORBID PERVERSION?

R= Morbid Perversion é erguer a bandeira anti-poser, é exaltação ao precioso Metal! É blasfêmia, alcoolismo e noites podres, é irmandade!! É “Sexo, Bebidas e Metal”, é “Violência e Força”, é “Vingança Diabólica”, é “Inquisição do Metal”, é “Devastação Bestial”, é “Não Quebrar o Pacto”!!!
Morbid Pevrersion Against All!!! Foda-se tudo!!!

06. COMENTE SOBRE A DEMO: MORBID SKILLS OF EVIL?

01. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF OUTRIGHT RESISTANCE? A. Well, Outright Resistance started early in 2011 as a bunch of dudes that wanted to play some seriously groovy and splendidly heavy music. We worked on getting our D.E.M.O. recorded nice and quick with a good friend of the band and then set about trying to play absolutely ANYWHERE we could while throwing splendid CD shaped coasters at everyone and anyone! 02. WHY THE NAME OUTRIGHT RESISTANCE? A. The name took us quite a while to decide on to be honest, because we started off just thinking "What sounds cool" but as we started writing songs together and some of the lyrical themes started to take shape and make themselves known, we knew that just having any old name wasn't going to cut it. With a lot of our songs being about standing up for what you believe in even in the face of great adversity, we started to think of ourselves as a resistance ourselves, trying to stand up for people who are being pissed on in innumerable ways, and thus we thought Outright Resistance was perfect as it summed us up and our goals and ideals quite nicely!

03. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY? A. Music wise we like to see ourselves as 'Groove-Metal' because we absolutely love heavy grooves more than anything else! Though at the same time we try to incorporate pretty much everything and anything that we like music-wise into our sound which we personally feel gives us more of a unique sound as our songs jump from the rocky yet screamy grooves of 'Slave To The System' to the speedy thrash influences of 'Gee, Dysphoria' up to the pseudo-deathcore 'Flight of The Necromancer' to the build up of the pure groove that is 'Death of a Nation'. I know it's so overstated these days, but we are one of those bands that think, if we like something, throw it into the pot and see how it turns out! Who knows, maybe our next track will be some crazy grindcore meets black metal track!

04. HOW IS THE ACTUAL LINE UP?
A. Outright Resistance currently consists of 5 members who each bring their own personal influences to the table, sort of like throwing cats into a bag and seeing what happens. Vocals - 'Captain' Paddy Lee (Lamb Of God, Slipknot, Psychostick, The Black Dahlia Murder) Guitar - Michael 'Grandad' Worsley (Machine Head, Alter Bridge, Stone Sour) Guitar - Joe Jacobs (Parkway Drive, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine) Drums - Michael "Nelly" O' Neill (Deicide, Slipknot, Behemoth) Bass - Richard Stevenson (Iron Maiden, Opeth, Electric Wizard, Gama Bomb)

05. WHO WRITES THE MUSIC AND LYRICS? A. As far as writing goes for the most part Grandad will write the general overview of the song musically and then bring it to the rest of the band to play about with, tweak and just make it as best as we can really. Lyrics are usually handled by myself (Captain Paddy) though Grandad contributes quite often bits and pieces, as does Nelly, in fact Nelly actually wrote all of the lyrics to 'Death of a Nation' as well as 'Tattered Remains (of Success)'. In general everything is quite a conjoined band effort where everyone chips in to an extent with all aspects of every song. 06. TELL US ABOUT THE SCENE IN UK? A. The scene in the UK is an interesting one, as you may know the UK is well known for producing many, many amazing bands. I think the UK has a good scene helped along by so many people that aren't in bands that just generally believe in it and are helping it to flourish. I think that whilst there is of course, a lot of rivalry between bands, there is just so much respect for each other that everyone helps out everyone else which is nice, and more and more fans are coming out and doing their best to support their local scene so in general I think it's a great progression and that as time goes on the UK scene will hark back into its former glory!

07. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE? A. Currently merchandise-wise we have 2 different types of T-Shirts still available on our Big Cartel page. The 'Slave to the System' Tee has our current red logo on the front of a black shirt with the lyrics "ARE YOU A SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM?" on the back. Our 'Gee, Dysphoria' Tee has our older white logo on a black shirt with the lyrics "STAND UP FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED" on the back. We also have lots of free copies of our D.E.M.O. EP 'Don't Eat My Organs' that we give away to everyone at every show we play and just, in general, to everyone that wants one, although it can also be downloaded through our Facebook page and our ReverbNation page. 08. HAVE YOU GUYS EVER PLAYED IN ANOTHER COUNTRY? A. Unfortunately not as of yet, though we are extremely interested in getting over to Ireland at least as I grew up in Ireland and Nelly has family over there also. We are also intrigued about getting over to mainland Europe at some point, though I would imagine that’s quite a long way off yet, but we've heard such amazing things about the scenes over in various European countries, that it sounds like an absolute BLAST!

09. HOW DID THE SONG ‘SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM’ COME TOGETHER? A. Slave to the System Musically speaking was born out of a 2 hour practice session in the Grandads Bedroom where the band used to practice before the opening of some local rehearsal studios; it began with just a simple guitar riff and pretty much just wrote itself on that side of the song. Various tweaks have happened over the years we’ve been playing the song, be it mistakes which actually worked better or new ideas in the practice sessions, but the essence of the song is still pretty much what is after the initial two hour practice. 10. FUTURE PLANS..? A. Plans for the foreseeable future pretty much involve playing the hell out of everywhere we can get ourselves into, more music will DEFINITELY be on the horizon, that much I can tell you, although we have an awful lot of surprises coming up over the next few months that we hope will get everyone (fan or not) very excited, because we sure as hell are excited!

11. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. ANY LAST COMMENTS? A. We at Outright Resistance would like to thank you MASSIVELY for your time, as well as to anyone reading this, thank you for reading! Check us out at www.OutrightResistance.com for all of our social network links and various other awesomeness!
